Ordering Books from Dog Ears

What do we need from you?

For starters, all we need to know is what you wish to order, your email address, and your mailing address. Your mailing address helps us determine the appropriate shipping and handling charge. Once we receive this we will get back to you with the availability of the book and the total price of your order. The total price will include a minimal shipping and handling charge.

Once you receive our email indicating the availability and total price of your order we ask that you send us a message back confirming the details. It is at this time that we ask for your name, and address (if you haven't already provided it).

The more information you provide the easier it will be for us to correctly identify the books you are ordering. Please enter as much of the information as you have available.

Note: Spaces marked on the order form with check must be completed in order for your request to be processed.

Payment

All book prices are in US dollars. This is because our supplier, Ingram Books, is based in La Vergne, Tennessee and we have to pay them in US dollars.

flag Canadian funds welcomed! Obviously we expect Canadians to pay in Canadian funds. However, US residents and International customers may choose to pay in either US funds or Canadian funds. Should you wish to pay in Canadian funds please add approximately 48% exchange to the order total. Thank you.

There are 3 payment methods: personal cheque, certified cheque, and money order. Please note that if you use a personal check, Dog Ears will have to cash it prior to shipping your order to ensure sufficient funds (this may take up to 7 business days).

Unfortunately we are unable to accept VISA or MasterCard. We apologize for this and we are working on it.

Discounts

Dog Ears absorbs the Goods and Services Tax (GST), this is a 7% discount for you.

Note concerning topographical maps and returns... There are no refunds or exchanges. Unfortunately we ourselves are unable to return topographical maps to our suppliers and as such we are in turn unable to offer any type of refund. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Shipping: How long will it take to get my order?

Canadian residents can expect orders to be received within 7-10 business days. US residents, within 15 business days. Once we receive your payment we place your order from our supplier. It takes Dog Ears 4-6 business days to receive your order. We then ship your order, Xpresspost with Canada Post, which takes 2 business days. The sooner we receive your payment the sooner you will receive your order.

Due to the complexity of calculating shipping fees, when we receive your order, we will email you back with the details on shipping and handling fees. We do not have flat fees as they would not be able to incorporate weight, size and shipping destination appropriately. By calculating our fees individually for each order we can charge the exact amount as specified by Xpresspost - no more, no less.
